Frank,
You must be the greatest investor on the planet. For you to say
"Digital is going under and they are desperate" without research and knowledge of DEC is a bold statement. Any stupid idiot can jump on Intel and hold it long term for a great gain - it's a no brainer. I have bought Intel at 78 and will hold for a long time. I also like to invest in turnaround situations, that are dirt cheap, for a great gain. I invested in AMD between $10-17 range because it was cheap and their situation was temporary. I then sold AMD when it became overvalued in the 40's. I then invested in DEC because it was dirt-cheap and they have a turnaround plan which I think will bring them back to the $70-$90 range(1-2 years), despite the lawsuit. I have gained over 1670% in the last 2 years using this strategy. I'm sure in 10 years I will blow away Intel's 2371% gain. DEC would not have initiated the lawsuit unless they truly believed it.

I do not knock Intel, it is a good investment but there are other ways to make money. This thread sounds like a bunch of drones... INTEL... INTEL.. INTEL... no other company can do well. DEC sells Intel processors. DEC will survive no matter what Intel does, they sell network solutions, not just processors. Do some research before running your mouth off.
