El - you can't have it both ways. No selective disclosure is incompatible with "staying in touch with the analysts". I have been following the supply chain concerns pretty closely, as it applies to both DELL and CPQ. The reason the Q is "back-end loaded" was that processors and other key components were constrained. Michael Dell fessed up for DELL on that issue. CPQ has made a number of comments about it also. Intel has shifted production to ease the supply of critical components, and as in the past, has made parts available to their two biggest customers, but it happened late in the Q. That all adds up to no possibility of stuffing the channel - if they can't get the boxes made, the opposite will occur, which is what CPQ (and the channel) have been saying. Inventories are below optimum levels and the trick has been to get enough parts to get the boxes out.

While you and Andreas were bitching, I was out placing bets, since I could see that the SSB analysis was complete BS and flew in the face of everything I knew about current conditions. Don't you guys ever think about making some money? I won't include Captain Jack in that group since he has avowed to make no money from CPQ.

Less talk more action, my friend.
