RIO Nevada hit 2 new Wildcat oil well pools in the last couple of weeks, pressure testing over next 2 weeks - - could be interesting RIO Nevada Mines Corporation PRESS RELEASE ASE SYMBOL - RN May 12, 1997 EXPLORATION DRILLING SUCCESS RIO Nevada Mines Corporation is pleased to announce its continued success with its 1997 exploration drilling program. The Company has drilled and cased two Basal Belly River indicated oil wells in its core area at Norbuck Lake, Alberta during the months of April and May 1997. RIO Nevada has a 100% interest in both the lands and wells. The most recent well that was drilled and cased was RIO Nevada Pembina 10-6-47-4 W5M. The Company expects to complete and production test both the RIO Nevada Crystal 2-16-46-4 W5M and RIO Nevada Pembina 10-6-47-4 W5M exploratory wells by approximately mid second quarter 1997.
