Hi PSC, thanks for your insight which makes alot of sense and your opinion is more valuable then mine since this is your field.. My comments come from many emails and correspondents in the past few years with nhl patients who were and are strongly looking for alternative treatments away from chemo/radiation. Obviously if the responses to date weren't greater then the FDA requirements I doubt Idec's market valuation would be where it is. Also in conversation from the physicians conducting the C2B8 trials I got consistant feedback that the quality of the responses were very high as far as feedback from the patients. This is a subjective call so the info certainly could be distorted. The last I heard the mean duration of response was around 10 months and counting so it appears the responses are prolonged. I'll be real curious to see how C2B8 performs on retreats. I understand that Coulter has some very impressive data on their antibody that is labled with iodine[radiation]. The abstracts from the ASCO conference our out and apparently Coulter is showing 100% response in low grade nhl patients. However, this was interim results of very few patients and the HAMA response was somewhere around 2 out of 9 patients. They state that they expect to file their NDA sometime during the second half of 1998. This could be putting a bit of pressure on Idec stock, but I believe it to be temporary.
