Dear Mr. Hull,

As a shareholder of Intel who has a very large percentage of his family's portfolio in Intel stock, I would like to voice my opinion that Intel needs to be more agreeive in its responses to frivilous claims (the flaw and now DEC).

Intel is going to be a target from now into the future. It's the biggest and the best and Intel needs to develop a strategy on how to handle frivolous claims which detrimentally effect shareholder and company value. I can't believe anyone at Intel believes that it infringed on DEC's patents.

With respect to the "flaw" issue, it is now clear to me that there was a conspiracy by two individuals which was probably backed by one or more of Intel's competitors to tarnish Intel's Pentium II line. A flaw that existed for 18 months without a single user complaint? Intel did not go on the offensive in its response. Intel should have been more aggresive rather than simply turning the other cheek.

Now DEC. I hope Intel turns up the heat a little. It isn't enough to be proven right in the long run. Shareholder value in the short and intermediate term should be Intel's concern also. "Vigorously defend?" Intel should go on the offensive.

Just my opinion.
