jb, you cantankerous (not so old) curmudgeon. I'll take that bet. Not because i have any firm view about direction or price, but because I never heard of nor tasted Wolavers. I, too, prefer ale. Have you tried Anchor's Liberty Ale or Fullers E.S.B.? Actually, Anchor's Holiday Ale is even better than Liberty, but it is seasonal. Yet, if you can find an unsold 6 pack lying around a store, grab it. It is not commonly known, but the Holiday Ale continues to ferment in the bottle, a la Belgian monastery ales. Unlike the Belgian kind, the Holiday Ale remains bitter. Bass is all right, especially if mixed with Guinesss, as in Black & Tan...I can chat more about good ales, if you like, but I believe this is enough for now...No Carolyn, unlike levy, I am not a Schiker(Sp.?). But it might be fun, occasionally. Hawaii was fun, I gather. What does ACR! mean? It is perfectly natural to accuse levy. But to besmirch the reputation of another shark lady. Tsk. Tsk.
