Carolyn, those are some very innovative companies. I'm familar with "MVIS" due to Cree's ownership stake, and that the company is based in Seattle.
I enjoy learning about these companies. They are creating product lines that we can't truly envision right now (at least I can't!).
I have a HWP Jornada 545, and simply love the product (over my Palm IIIC and Handspring Visor). What I would like, in a perfect world, is one device that has wireless net capability, cellular phone capability, and HWP Jornada functionality, and weighs no more than 9 ounces. I'm dreaming, I know.
I agree that the Palm technology is simply a convenience. The Jornada has a lot of uses, but the future will offer better products. I truly believe that Palm, Qcom, Nokia, and the mid-cap players will be the companies that will win. They will develop patents, and purchase the new companies as they come to market.
Thanks for the info. |
