It's fixed. Somebody made a quick call to SI Admin Bob, and he got on it toot sweet.

Hopefully it did not cause too much damage.

It will be interesting to see how Bryan handles this. The "sorry it was an administrative oversight because I was on vacation" crap like he pulled when the ads started appearing inside the text box won't fly this time.

The right way to handle it would be to make a public announcement that everyone's username was compromised, and they should contact SI to have their username changed if desired. SI should set up a special email address to do this, and notify everyone by both PM and e-mail...and have lots of people standing by so there is no delay.

I doubt if they will do that. They will probably try and keep it real quiet so nobody gets upset. But it's a rather gross error. Not a good thing. The worst part is that it went unnoticed until a member of SI called Admin Bob. SI should have been monitoring the site. And after all, they should be doing this "upgrade" stuff on the weekend between midnight and 5 a.m., yes?

Oh, I forgot.

I'm back.

And my cOUSIN too.

He's real pissed about this. Real pissed. I have no idea why, since he does not have a membership. Go figure.
