What's clear is that USRX has the chips and yet won't have a product out until mid '98. What does that tell you????

It tell's me that DMT isn't easy to implement and USRX wants to lock their customers into a USRX solution. When next year rolls around the ball will be rolling on xDSL.., who will want to purchase a modem that supports both 56k analog and xDSL? By the time that V.vaporware modem comes out, 56k will be on its last legs. USRX is giving the ISP's, RBOC's and end users the FUD treatment.

The term FUD "Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt" is used all the time on the USRX thread in dealing with the ROK, ASND, LU, MOT, etc k56flex announcements. The k56flex news releases are used to delay a customers purchase of the X2 product.... Placing fear, uncertainty and doubt in the purchasers head, they will delay their purchase in hopes of getting a better solution. LU is promising 56k speeds...that's FUD... in hopes that the ISP's will delay purchasing 56k technology until their product is ready.
