amein..."interest rates" previous actions taken based on econometric models have not staved off inflation, but have sent economies into recession..... funny how past recessions in the usa have been in tandem with high rates....just look to the carter adminstration......boom times equate to low interest rates one must look no farther then greenspan h-h testimony to see how inaccurate the predictions of economists tend to be.
