Frank, what other investments do you own(just curious)? I bought Intel at 78 because it was CHEAP! I am a value investor and I do my own research of which I have 20 pages on why DEC is a good investment. Everyone knows why Intel is a good investment, they own the market and have a crazy profit margin. Come on, you don't think some people have no knowledge of stocks and just buy Intel because the analysts keep preaching about it? It takes guts to speculate on future performance but can be very rewarding. Maybe I have been lucky since I have never sold a stock below 55%, average turnaround is 8 months. All I am saying is don't knock other stocks until you have completely researched that company's situation.

Oh, and I guess people do come on this thread and can make obnoxious reply like that, even when they have never suffered a loss. Yes, my position in DEC is bigger than that of my position in Intel. This is because I believe at current levels, DEC will double in price (bought@$30) to $60 a lot faster than what I could have bought Intel for. Recently I could have bought more Intel in $130 range, to double this position it would need to go to $260. I don't buy a stock unless I think I can make a 100% gain within a 1-2 year timeframe. So do you want to bet Intel will go to $260 before DEC goes to $60???? It sounds like you do, although I have no clue at what price you got into Intel.

You're right there are a lot of intelligent people on this thread, but there are some drones too. I am not saying you are one of them. It just makes me mad when people bash a company they know nothing about.
