Personal Income for May = +0.4% Spending = +0.2%
bea.doc.gov Personal income increased $31.3 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $26.5 billion, or 0.4 percent, in May, according to the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $16.3 billion, or 0.2 percent. In April, personal income increased $47.7 billion, or 0.6 percent, DPI increased $33.3 billion, or 0.5 percent, and PCE increased $14.2 billion, or 0.2 percent, based on revised estimates. |
