I think the link at # of new posts under subjectmarks takes you to the forums page at
siliconinvestor.com
(not home page as I mistakenly called it earlier) when the post has already been read. It just did that here to me.

I read your post here and then it was still showing as the "1" new post when I went to 'subject marks".

Otherwise I see same behavior you described. A thread showing "two" new posts takes me to the last "one".
