sorry about the sentence...

When next year rolls around the ball will be rolling on xDSL

I convinced myself many months ago that xDSL is better than Cable, Wireless Cable, and Satellite "DirectPc". I invested in CAWS to learn about wireless cable, ZE to learn about cable and Hughes Network Systems gave us a talk about their Satellite system. For many many different reason, I concluded that xDSL is the best technology.

So lets talk about USRX. Here's a question... AWRE sells its solution as components that USRX could integrate into its existing platforms. Why does USRX need to re-invent the DMT solution on TI's chip? Who thinks that the USRX DMT solution will interoperate with the MOT, ALA, or TI/AMTX solution. If they make a standard compliant DMT solution they will have to pay AWRE and AMTX. Why take a full year when you could use the AMTX/TI or ADI/AWRE solution?

USRX wants to make money selling the X2 technology. They have a 12 month window to push this technology and lock their customers into a USRX based solution. It's a long term business decision that USRX is making. How to lock our existing customer base into a USRX/COMS solution? Promise V.Everything/V.vaporware to your customers, and push the X2 solution... until later...
