I guess I owe Needham a vote of thanks.

They allowed me in at a price much lower than I'd dreamed of getting. I thought I'd be lucky if I picked up any shares at $19 today.

Goes to show what I know.

Needham also got me a much better price on the PUTs I sold this morning than I would have thought possible yesterday.

So, whoever that analsyt is, thank you very much.

Back of envelope, off the top of the head calculation of CMP market share convinced me that SFAM is a buy. IT was a VERY ROUGH ESTIMATE using DataQuest's estimate of 2000 CMP Sales, assuming a linear growth throughout the year and led SFAM CEO to believe that its market share has grown from 12% to 24%.

Even if he's overestimated his growth by 50%, this should be a very nice company to hold throughout this upleg.

And the July 5th announcement does sound intriguing.
