Re: Palmer If Palmer gets an injunction (not likely) against INTEL then that will be the end of DEC's PC business...(.its about shooting yourself in the foot). With INTEL out of business they won't be able to pay DEC the BILLIONS Palmer says he wants. IMO, what Palmer really wants is a seat at the computer banquet which will be held when MERCED is introduced. DEC is not in the position of HWP. Without this lawsuit it would be hard to crash the party. Incidently, IBM , PRIME and a number of other companies have more cache memory patents and branch prediction patents from an earlier time than DEC. There are hundreds of patents in these categories.
