Sonny, There are lots of patent lawsuites in the Silicon valley. I see very rare case if injuction is landed on those cases. Seocndly, INTEL and DEC have lots of clients overlapped. DEC doesn't want to hurt its own clients. Third, judge may not know the details of the patent, but he/she knows the impact of the injuction on thousands of vendors in the PC industry. This is like to stop BOEING from shipping airplane. The umemplyment rate will shoot up ... if it did happen... I think the NASDAQ may drop 50% in one day.

my guess is still if DEC get the license fee(but not that kind of ridiculous $$$), the case will be closed very soon.
