Cyrix files suit against Intel for patent infringement

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 1997--Cyrix Corporation (NASDAQ:CYRX) today announced that it has filed suit against Intel Corporation for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Cyrix asserts in the suit that Intel products including Pentium(R), Pentium Pro and Pentium II microprocessors infringe on one or both of the patents issued to Cyrix on May 13, 1997. The suit seeks preliminary and permanent injunctive relief along with unspecified damages and fees.
