Hey Keith

The telecommunications sector is a battlefield, man! Qualcomm is taking on the GSM forces almost singlehandedly.

Few of us here had the foresight to comprehend the significance of the time gap here to 3G. This has given the GSM folks an opportunity to throw W-CDMA up in the air to divert attention during this time gap.

Qualcomm is a fantastic company. AOL experienced similar problems 3 or 4 years ago. Stock prices regarding companies that are not "blue-chip," conservative mutual fund holdings do not necessarily indicate a company's realistic future potential.

Just wait for HDR to roll out, Keith. In the meantime, maybe Ollila at NOK is going to publicly flog some of his key execs for letting NOK get so behind in CDMA. Maybe we'll see a few bald heads rolling around on Helsinki streets this weekend. <ggg>

Keep your sense of humor, buddy. I know this has been a disaster. But nobody ever said Wall Street was easy.

Just porchin'
John
