>Anyone else notice SI behaving wierd today ????
John,
Yep. In spades.
For a while this morning, everyone's "screen name" [mine is Iceberg] was listed, not by screen name, but by what appeared to be either real names, log-on names, or passwords [I'm not sure which was which]. Real names, log-in names, or passwords for aliases such as mine [Iceberg] were exposed for all the world to see.
This was one major SI security breach. I couldn't believe it! Did you, or anyone else see what I saw?
I could list examples of the names from the Z-thread that I saw, but I respect everyone's privacy to the nth degree, and I therefore won't post any specifics. However, I will say this...one Z-thread member apparently spells part of his/her log-on, or password name, **backwards** from the typical screen name we see on the Z-thread.
I bring this up, not to start any controversy, but to give everyone a "heads up" in case this might be of concern to anyone. This wasn't limited to only the Z-thread. Other threads contained similar name listings.
I'd appreciate hearing from you, John, or from anyone else familiar with this outrageous episode.
Thanks,
Ice |
