Are you kidding ? Respond without even knowing what you were responding to ? Bad idea. REAL Bad idea.

They could, however, have reponded to the "willful" part. Infringement ? Possibly, inadvertently, can't deny it until they know what they are accused of. Willful Infringement ? Now THAT is something that you can deny.
