Dear Nancy;
"it opened my eyes to anti semitism from people claiming to be Christians." Nancy
Nancy, very little can be done about ignorance and prejudice. The Jews practice reverse discrimination and even light skinned Blacks mostly think that they are more intelligent and refined and want nothing to do with their darker skinned brothers and sisters. The whole history of Homosapien has seen blood flow every where. There is not to my knowledge any place in the world that we can escape it.
Then we have the homosexuals who claim that they are being treated as a sick minority group. They are sick but try to get them to see it. More and more acceptance of this group is being seen as our moralities take a nose dive from seeing and believing that the sick movies and same sex love is reality. Its almost like we are being destroyed by the claims of some that Jesus had a homesexual love affair with John. Now that is sick! Very few are ever blessed by having a friend that is trustworthy like John was to Jesus.
The big picture is this. Every thing that happened has been ordained because the sinner will not go to Christ. Christ knew all this beforehand, of course. He has claimed His sheep, whom He knew beforehand. God is blessing and saving not because of any good thing that we have done but has loved us in spite of ourselves. We cannot falsly believe that all have the same opportunities because God must be JUDGE of His creation. If grace was universal what would be so wonderful about it? Every body is born into grace and every body is going to Heaven. Can you imagine a Father who will not judge His son who has disobeyed Him? We as Christians know that God promised chastisement to those who He has claimed because He wants us to seek always the perfection that is in Him. We hurt and sting from his judgement upon us but we are being refined by fire for an instrument of light and brilliance so that we can tell sinners that we are accepted as heirs in a pain free, joyful eternity of Heavenly places. We must do as He tells us. Tell about the Cross, and the battle that Christ has won for us so that through His perfection he acts as the gateway between man and God. When we are accepted in the beloved, Christ's spilled blood and his complete act of total unselfishness and love for His creation covers us in his perfectness so that God will be able to see a perfect person through the covering of His Son's royal blood.
Christ is the answer! I f we as Christians, see the speck in our brothers eye but do not see the log in ours, we can ezpect to suffer loss from our own acts of evil. The devil lurks, even on this thread. How satan wants to cause division and cause angry snapping at each other. He hates Christ so much that he takes relish in showing the Lord that we dishonor Him with a lack of love and appreciation for His gift to us.
Yes, he lurks about wanting to kill, maim and destroy every Son and Daughter of God. He knows that he cannot win in the end, but he is a lier and a snake of perdition. I'll surely shout joy when Christ binds this creature of hell. It seems that we are bothered more by him than the agnostics and heathens who choose to go their own way. After all, he doesn't have to bother with them. He knows that he will eventuall claim them without any sweat on him at all. Thet are gladly following him as their father so why bother with them.
I can almost see Him serving as a justifier of al who love Him. He probably says, Father, let these pass. They were saved by me and I must justify them with a covering of my Spirit. God looks, and sees us as perfect through His Son's eyes. He shouts and motions; welcome into my eternal grace and bliss forevermore.
Thank you, beloved Jesus.
James
