Hi Rambi,

BIC is a term some friends and I termed several years ago in an attempt to make things right. BIC stands for 'bug infested code'

When you have a bug infestation you have to take severe measures to stamp out the bugs...

So I say stop BIC and do it right the first time.

1) gather requirements
2) use UML to develop what it is you are trying to do
references: duneram.com

3) use some sort of tool to generate code. Rational rose will do it and it's integrated with UML.
4) Implement some sort of Version Control system (CM=configuration management). My guess is they don't have it now, because if they did they could just go back to the prior version and all these errors would disappear (until they try again with fixes).

Now if you have the right people you will end up with a kickass system that won't suffer from embarassments as this
