Free Domestic Long Distance Calls

The other day a friend of mine mentioned that they had been using their computer to make FREE long distance calls within the U.S., I was highly skeptical. Well, I tried it lastnight and I'll be danged, it works. The way it works is you can either call from PC to PC, or from PC to a persons phone. It requires that you have either a microphone on your computer, or even better, a headset, that you can buy for $20 at any computer store. This eliminates any possible feedback, which tends to happen when you use computer speakers.

You go to dialpad.com and sign up (there is no fee for anything). You follow the instructions and a java applet is loaded that you use to call.

I talked to my brother and his wife in Austin, Texas lastnight for over an hour, by calling their phone. The sound was very clear. You can even make FREE calls to Alaska and Hawaii.

I highly recommend this for making calls to friends, or maybe even for talking to fellow traders throughout the day.

It's certainly worth a try.
