All -- Erik K of the AMD thread discovered that the problem with not being able to write public posts seems to be related to the use of quote marks or HTML tags in the first part of the message. The part that will show up as the "subject" when browsing a thread.

It's not consistent. I was able to post a test message that had italics in the beginning of it, but the display was weird.

I'll do some more testing on this, but for now it appears that if you don't use HTML tags or quote marks in the first 80 characters of the post, the post will go through.
