<So Gateway/Jabil uses AMD750 chipsets and procure all other necessary parts/chips to put the motherboards together?>

I believe the boards are made by second source, by
Jabil itself, Gateway just build and test boxes.
However, it is AMD's responsibility
to validate design of their major customers and give
them ok for mass production. The procedure apparently
failed.

<--The company said it believes the trouble lies in the motherboard or in the power supply, but has not determined which>

Eahh... Same story - the cause "has not been determined"...
Smells to me like the same ill-famous problem with
"compatibility" of Durons/T-birds with VIA chipsets,
and recall and "rework" of early Athlons boards.
The problem seems to be in inability of current
AMD engineers to correctly implement the EV6 bus
- same morons apparently never learn.
I anticipate more troubles with boards, and
therefore say "bye-bye" to business segment. Bad.
