I think we're in agreement. There is certainly a big difference between "the future" and "the near future."

I'm not too impressed with this particular piece of Robertson Stephens analysis, personally. For one thing, contrary to popular belief, the web is not the be all and end all of computing, or even of networking. There's more to networking than the world wide web. Nor do I remember Citrix's management ever saying that they were trying to build a core component of web-based architectures.

Once again, a Wall Street analyst proves that he or she doesn't really get it where tech is concerned.
