Ausdauer: Eric L has helped some of us with understanding smart cards and the key role they will play in mobile phones and PDA's as a means of roaming betweeen the two primary installed technologies GSM and CDMA. (Using the same smart card and different phones - for now). And the use of smart cards for banking and other commercial transactions. As you just mentioned, the potential relationship of Sandisk's Flash Cards and communication handheld smart cards is a fasinating one. Will these stay separate as they are now? If so what would be the division of labor? Or could the functions be combined into one device? This is a practical problem needing solution in terms of "slots" in phones and PDA's for the insertion of these physically - inter alia. Would very much appreciate your views as well as Eric L's on this. Best. Cha2 ....
