14 -- yes it is an impossible dream,, sad as MC is not CEO material yet. If he could surround himself with the likes of Greene and Lane plus others for a decade or so he may be ready to be ceo of a company this size. That is not derrogitory as there are few that are capable of running any company this big, especially one with the monumental problems faced. Although there are few that could jump in even fewer want the agrivation that comes with such a challenge that cpq brings (or MC would not have been chosen)-- but there are others that could do better. Such is life and those planning on holding for the long term will have him for some time.
True-- novl is a company with great products that his little chance of being what it once was. Another case of incompetent mgmt. With luck a company with strong mgmt will buy them out-- if not they will just languish until lesser products take over their space due to questionability of their survival. Either way, other than a buyout, they will languish for years also.
