rudedog - Capellas may have worked for Lane but not directly. Lane was rumoured to be the CEO of ATT before he took the Oracle Job and he wouldnt settle for anything less now. Everyone knows that he is the reason why Oracle is where it is today not Larry E. Lane wouldn't work for Capellas in a million years - personality wise they are night and day as well. My guess is that T is the top contender - or possibly IBM. If Lane does go to CPQ which is mildly possible, it would be in Capellas' role - they may drop Capellas back to COO saying that he was an interim CEO and everyone can save face - all just my opinion.
