Mark, nice quotes but very different from the truth: This is what the Lord teaches: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. When Jesus talks about giving peace he's talking about the peace he gives to his followers, he has no intention of wasting it on a world which denies him! Still have doubts then read another passage where he again talks about peace: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart he troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14 Mark you are still under a false impression that a Christian is supposed to rub shoulders with the world and be at peace with it.
