RTS,
Indeed, a big job. There are organizations that target specific diseases, and their websites often contain info on the treatments available and in development, usually including the marketer's name (of course, the drug could be licensed from some other biotech, and that won't be mentioned; all part of the fun). The American Cancer Society, for example. That's where I would start. Other ideas cheerfully accepted.
But a big job like this, divied up amongst the SI biotech cognoscenti and interested but clueless people like myself -- or just interested people -- could nevertheless be a short one. And once it was gotten going, it should run itself OK. Just like these threads.
Anyhow, I have some interest in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's (including their diagnosis: my grandpa was diagnosed with one, and it later turned out he had the other; the first course of treatment was less than a help to him), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, also for family reasons. So if I get any interest at all -- or maybe even if I don't -- I'll start those.
Anybody else with me?
Cheers, Tuck |
