Long after everyone has forgotten about Elian, the government will quietly settle out of court for millions of dollars with the relatives. They better not give them a dime of my tax money! With regard to the Supreme Court, I wasn't talking about the INS tactics in taking Elian from the relatives. That's a peripheral issue because it had no bearing on where Elian lives. I was talking about the INS determination that JM is the only one who can apply for asylum on behalf of the child. The courts reviewed that and determined that the INS followed the law.
