i'm using the classic option, in case that matters...

from what i've been able to determine, as soon as the 'edit this reply' button is clicked after the post is published (or maybe even if a person does any editing, rather than hitting the 'back' button to edit), the "<p>" and "<br>" get added in, and the paragraph spacing is lost. #reply-13985590
