Ibexx - We believe that free spectrum for carriers in Europe would benefit W-CDMA. Sorry to disagree with Mr Peterson of Prudential but:- 1. Do the new British licenses allow for anyone else to come along and offer broadband mobile services during the term of the license? 2. Has there been the slightest evidence that cdma-2000 would be allowed onthe European continent? 3. Has anyone every had the slightest doubt that NOK and ERICY would win game set and match on the European continent? The battleground isn't Europe it is everywhere else. Finland and Sweden joined the European club in no small measure due to ERICY and NOK. The deal got them both the Europena markets and the EU muscle around the World and it is clearly working at the moment. The best chance the Q has is not in Europe but in free markets around the World where cdma-2000 can compete freely against any alternative. Ther are a couple of markets that are still free and not subject to European "marketing methods" like Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, Israel and Mexico. If we are right about the Q's lead in the technology then cdma-2000 ought to take a clear lead in those territories despite the worst that NOK can do. That is the test and it starts in Q1 next year.
