I've been using Velocity for a long time, and it is occasionally a little slow, but usually pretty responsive, certainly much better than the web site. It is very CPU intensive, though, so you need a pretty fast machine, and even then it is slow to load up and initialize. The streaming quotes aren't super fast, but I suppose they're OK. Also, if you are waiting for a confirmation, Velocity can't give you one until it gets one from Schwab, so to a certain extent you are limited by Schwabs internal computers.
