another CNet news winner-- the gateway story

The guy conveniently left out the fact that AMD has publicly stated the problem is NOT with the 1 GHz TBird or the 750 chipset. I mean, come on, if you're going to crib a techweb article, at least include all the paragraphs.

I've sent him an email, asking him to include the information.

More slanted coverage... when will it end?

Doug

p.s. Besides, does anyone doubt that AMD didn't send a team to gateway in a panic when this came up? And how hard is it to test the 1GHz tbirds on a different mobo/system, ruling out the problem? Answer: very easy.

Ah, we have his response:

gateway said they don't know the exact cause yet. they are also doing the
testing. amd knowledge comes from gateway, is my understanding.
