I'll copy Toni Beckham at AMD IR on this, and perhaps she can clear matters up. Doug Barnum p.s. Toni -- below is a response I received from Michael Kanellos regarding my inquiry about his CNet news story on the Gateway 1GHz Tbird issue. I'd asked him why he had not mentioned AMD's statement that the problem was NOT with the chip nor the chipset, and only quoted Gateway's much weaker statement about the problem not 'likely' being with the chip or chipset. Could you clarify this? Is it AMD's position that the problem DOES NOT lie in the 1 GHz Tbirds and 750 chipset? Thanks.
