Nope, I am not on thin ice on this one (I worked on the Engine Controller). Remembered about 10-15 years ago that someone tried to sell the Enhanced or Performance EEPROM that claimed increase your HP by 15-20%. They are no longer exist because the Big Three lawyers put them out of business because they are twisting the OEM code and change the EEPROM. These cars can technically no longer being used legally because they are not EPA certified (EPA only certified OEM code after extensive tests). If you put the new EEPROM in your Engine Controller, please save the old one for EPA Emission test and Vehicle servicing because you are tempering with vehicle emission and it is violation of federal law.
