<I haven't heard you weigh in on your expectations for 2nd quarter MOUs? What do you say oh wise one, what represents good, mediocre, and bad MOUs for the quarter just past?? >
TMann, I just noticed my post was number 14142 which is the height of the constellation [1414.2km]. That must be symbolic since post 14142 was quoting a really wise one who would have models and stuff like that for good bad and indifferent MOUs. With the Globalstar Independence Day Celebration now just a few hours away, it is especially appropriate.
I haven't weighed in on MOUs because I don't really have a clue. I think 1bn MOU for the quarter would be pretty good. Yes, that would have made me very happy but given the slow start, that's totally unrealistic.
20,000 handsets x 100 MOU per handset per month x 3 = 6,000,000 MOU would be about all I'd expect. Not many handsets were sold in Europe. That leaves North America and Australia with a few in South America. So anything less than 6M would disappoint me!
A good result would be 50,000 subscribers [I'd be pleasantly surprised - but Q! and co have shipped plenty more handsets than that] with 18,000,000 minutes.
Total guesswork! I have no idea.
Okay, here's my guess. 31,416 handsets [fixed and mobile] sold with average MOU at 97 per month giving 9,142,056 MOU.

PS: Because the earth is fat at the waistline, the orbit isn't 1414.2 km everywhere - but that is about the average height. |
