Thanks, I keep my start menu empty already and only run into problems when I am actually running too much. My typical trading set up is a 4X shot of Quote.com ( 4 charts running java at teh same time), SI, Our own site message board, my broker trading screen, sometimes my MetaStock, Island book screen of 4 stocks bid/ask/last sale ( also Java ), and Medved quote tracker. A bit excessive but you know how it is <ggg>
Be careful getting rid of all cookies. I did that before and I forgot half my passwords for stuff I didn't use often. I don't save passwords for sites that mean money i.e. broker accounts, certain web server stuff and other things that are sensitive but things like chat rooms, message boards or news sites I have saved since someone getting those is no big deal. If you erase your cookies, you will lose "automatic" entry into those. What I do is change the security setting in IE to prompt for cookies. A bit of a pain with them popping up all the time but you can selectivly accept the ones you need to like brokers but refuse them from 99% of the other sites. This keeps your cache cleaner yet leaves you functional.
Something on topic. Like the way they sneek this out on a holiday hoping not too many are paying attention????
