Excuse me! Meaning no offense, but somebody is in denial! If your statement (company line?) were true, could somebody
explain how it is that I posted the following (note day and time):

"Company line"??? Moi?!? What I write is either what I think or know, or if I think there'd be a problem with what I want to say, I say nothing.

In looking at your timeframes and comparing them with mine, and assuming our timestamps are correct (no system glitch at the time), this leads me to believe that the occurrence I was aware of that I thought was the first one was actually the second.

Or I'm really screwed up on my time-zone conversions. And looking at my first email to the engineers, the timestamp is "10:03 PM 6/29/00 -0700". I'm assuming that I'm (in KC) 7 hours away from GMT and 1 away from eastern, hence 11:03 PM Eastern. That email was about 20-30 minutes after one from engineering announcing that Oracle was in place.

Anyway, I'm inclined to think that we're both mostly right, but that where I thought there were 3 instances, there were actually 4.

Sound about right?

Bob
