Happy 4th to all my Porch friends. RR family just took in the annual Breckenridge 4th of July parade. Wonderful. Beautiful day. Rockies still snow-capped in the background. Clear blue sky. Parade lasted over an hour. The American flag came by first. The RR family, as usual, stood up at curb side when an American flag goes by. Nobody else stood. But, eventually families on either side of us stood up and by the time that flag passed, the whole block down its path was standing. Wonderful. Damn, profoundly impacting day. The festivities, the people, signs of togetherness everywhere, the flags, the atmosphere..... Makes me think of all those who served and those who died for us so we could be free. Me, Holly and the boys were walking back up to our place after the festivities, and we all just reflected on how truly wonderful it is to be an American. Happy 4th my Friends. RR and Family.....
