Can’t Clinton Ever Tell the Truth?

Now Bill Clinton is saying that he wished that Elian Gonzalez and his father would have stayed in America. What a duplicitous SOB. That’s such an easy thing to say after one of Hillary’s benefactors has helped to arrange and pay for the child’s flight back to communism.
Are we forgetting the reports that Clinton ordered the federal agents surrounding Juan Miguel and Elian to make damned sure that they didn’t get any chance to defect? After Elian’s illegal (yes, damn it, it was illegal, not that we really care, right?) seizure from Miami Clinton hid them on a military base. Then they were moved to an isolated plantation in Maryland. Clinton allowed Cuban government functionaries to surround and smother Juan Miguel and Elian – along with Cuban doctors with bags full of mind-altering drugs. Then Clinton sits back and allows the Cuban government to conduct its Young Pioneers communist youth program indoctrination classes right here on American soil.
Now, after he sees to it that Elian is on that plane back to Cuba, he sorrowfully tells us that he wishes he would have stayed. And you people suck that crapola up, don’t you? What a phony.
Want some more crapola? Attorney General Janet Reno, architect of the infamous raid and kidnapping of Elian, says that she prayed that Juan Miguel and Elian would decide to stay.
You know, with Reno’s experiences in South Florida and her once-good relationship with the Cuban-American community, she probably did harbor a secret desire that Juan Miguel would stay here with his kid. But she dared not utter one word about that – not until Clinton gave her the signal that it was OK. Reno doesn’t cut the hair out of her ears without Clinton’s express permission.
So, just who arranged Elian’s trip back to Cuba?
The Cuban government paid for the flight, as well as all of the other chartered flights to and from Cuba involving Elian's father, his grandmothers and other Cubans.
But who's the Cuban government's go-between in this country? Why, it's none other than Vivian Mannerud Verble, head of a Miami-based firm called Airline Brokers Company Inc. Verble's company arranged all of the flights for the Cuban government.
I’m sure you don’t remember this, but Verble wrote a check for $22,000 to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign – only to have it returned when Clinton staffers learned that Verble had ties to convicted drug trafficker Jorge "Gordito" Cabrera, a Cuban-born American citizen currently serving a 19-year prison term for transporting 6,000 pounds of cocaine into the United States.
And that's not the end of Verble's Democratic resume. She served as the fund-raising intermediary between Cabrera and the Democratic National Committee in 1995. Cabrera attended a 1995 White House Christmas party and had his picture taken with Hillary.
First it was Greg Craig, an attorney with ties to the Clinton White House, now it's Vivian Verble.
The Clinton administration decided the boy was going back from the word go, and they enlisted a few of their friends to speed the process along.
Oh! The Anger!
You ought to see the searing hate mail I’m getting because of my critique on prescription coverage for crumpled citizens.
How dare I suggest that there is something wrong with one person using the police powers of the government to plunder the property of another – just so that they won’t have to spend their own money on their prescription drugs.
The complaints are coming from two groups. First, the craggy crowd. If they have to pay for their own prescription drugs – why, that’s money they could be spending on travel, eating out, golf, and other retirement goodies.
Also getting plenteous mail from the children of these wizened citizens. My God! If the government doesn’t take care of Mom’s prescription drugs, I’m going to have to actually chip in with my own money! Why the hell do I want to spend my own money on my parents’ health care when the government can just take money away from other people to do that for me?
