David - Thanks. That FAQ states it clearly. Now to try to communicate with Fidelity.

While I have you on the line :) what’s your take on PALM post-D? There seem to be two extreme views (1) pure dilution, that the PALM shares being distributed are “new” shares that will “þood the market” and drive the price down, and (2) perfect market, that the PALM shares to be distributed are already factored into the trading price of COMS, and will have no large impact.

While technically (2) is correct, I think that in the real world there are people who are waiting for the distribution to sell PALM, and that the price in fact will be driven down, short-term, 5-10 points. I now have calls (July 35 and August 35), and plan on buying August puts a couple of days before D day.

I’ve been holding COMS since March of 1999. I wanted to sell on the one-day earnings pop in June of last year but we were on the road and by the time I could find a phone it had gone back down and we held it. Now that the potential of PALM is clear I realize I was very lucky. But it will be a tremendous relief to have distribution behind us.
