Chinese National Petroleum Company expanding activities in Sudan BBC Monitoring Service, July 5 Text of report by Sudanese TV on 4th July The external relations minister, Dr Mustafa Uthman Isma'il, today in his office held talks with the Chinese ambassador in Khartoum, Deng Shaoqin and the chairman of the Chinese National Petroleum and Gas Company, George Yang [both elements phonetic], on ways and opportunities of expanding the activities of the Chinese National Company in Sudan to include drilling in the country's different areas and investment in the field of petrochemical industry. The chairman of the Chinese National Petroleum Company said he was interested in developing and promoting the activities of the company in Sudan.
