Phil, SSB and any of its clients following its advice missed out on most, if not all of the upleg so far. I believe they turned positive on the sector long after AMAT broke 100 to the upside but well before AMAT breaking 100 to the downside. SSB turning negative is the best contrarian indicator I've seen. Check out their Feb 19, 1999 report on the sector then ask yourself if you want to take investment advice from these turkeys. [Note: A turkey is so stupid that it ducks its head when going through a barn door. Turkeys have also been known to drown during rainstorms while looking up with their mouths open to see what's hitting them on the head. And some turkeys don't recognize what's happening in the chip sector. ;^)] Ian.
