I guess I hold with Robert, specifically, the natural BPI in the blood didn't work so why should exogenous BPI work. A believer could argue that there is a natural inhibitor of the infused BPI (some soluble blocking peptide or something), and so the exogenous material could work. A believer might also argue that 15x wasn't enough since it didn't overwhelm the blocking peptide. The problem is I am not aware of any blocking peptides. Perhaps there are other explanations (eg. antagonists). Anyway, without some imagination, it doesn't look good for BPI.
