Companies To Use Intacta.Code For Secure, Reliable Data Transmissions
To Palm, Handheld Devices

ATLANTA, GA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 07/05/00 -- Intacta Technologies
announced today that it has entered into an agreement with kforce
Consulting, a Division of kforce.com, to provide its patented
technology, Intacta.Code data encoding engine, for use in developing
pervasive computing applications.

kforce is currently working with customers to build solutions for
mobile e-business in a variety of industries, including finance,
manufacturing and travel. " Intacta.Code is a wonderfully versatile,
enabling technology," said Christian Kotscher, Director of Pervasive
Computing at kforce Consulting. "Not only does it allow applications
to compress and secure data across multiple computing platforms, but
also encompasses all form factors, from wireless transmissions,
pervasive devices (Palm & SmartPhones) even to compressed and coded
print like transaction receipts."

kforce and Intacta Technology are currently developing a means to
easily and reliably package, compress and transmit data from the IBM
WebSphere* Application Server. These encoded and compressed data
packages can be transmitted over any LAN, WAN, wireless or IP
connection, then decompressed and decoded by the receiving platform
or application.

"kforce is moving fast to help customers effectively deploy IBM
pervasive computing solutions," said Noel Bambrough, Chief Operating
Officer for Intacta Technologies. "This is a great combination of
development know-how and enabling technology."

"kforce Consulting is taking the lead on reinforcing IBM's Pervasive
Computing Strategy with a unique plug-in for WebSphere that adds
significant improvements to the wireless challenges of security and
bandwidth," said Ed Harbour, director, Business Line Management &
Marketing, IBM.

Pervasive Computing Applications and the Use of Intacta.Code

klforce, a premier member of IBM PartnerWorld for Software, is
currently working with IBM to provide secure applications that bridge
data and information from mainframe, minicomputer and PC servers all
the way to hand-held and smart phone devices.

IBM's Pervasive Computing Strategy includes the use of IBM Netfinity*
and the IBM WebSphere software platform for e-business to act as data
conduits to mobile, wireless and handheld devices. kforce will use
Intacta.Code to compress and securely transmit data between WebSphere
and computing devices using Intacta.Code. Intacta.Code also is
applicable to print enabling applications to be developed that allow
hard copy, encoded transaction receipts to be transmitted as well.
Among other applications of the technology are cross-platform
transmission and encoding of data, encoded hard-copy output and
resilient transmission of data. Among industry applications best
suited to utilize Intacta.Code are Small and Medium Business (SMB)
companies moving supply chain and customer relationship management
environments to IBM's pervasive model.

About IBM WebSphere software platform for e-business

most scalable e-business software foundation and application
services, and delivers a flexible and open platform on which to build
next-generation e-business applications. Based on WebSphere
Application Server, the WebSphere software platform supports business
applications from simple Web publishing through enterprise-scale
transaction processing. Through modular, integrated application
services, such as Lotus Domino for rich collaboration capabilities
and WebSphere Commerce Suite for high-performance, scalable commerce
sites, the WebSphere platform transforms the way businesses manage
customer, partner and employee relationships. Tightly integrated
business and web content development tools and Web site management
capabilities deliver the most advanced and productive end-to-end
application development, deployment and integration for sophisticated
e-business solutions. Information about the complete WebSphere
software platform is on the Web at www.software.ibm.com/websphere.

About Intacta.Code

Intacta.Code deploys Compression, Encoding and Error Correction Engines
that correct content using patented processes. The error correction
is very robust allowing for degradation of the medium while
maintaining 100% of the content and format.

The technology is equally applicable to electronic and print media.
Using the same Intacta.Code engines, the Atlanta, GA based company is
presently exploring the application impact for other markets such as:

Wireless data transmission, where intermittent signal drops and erratic
quality make highly reliable and robust error correction imperative. The
compression of data for secure delivery over other low quality and
lower speed links. More economical distribution of multimedia. Integration with
nternet
appliances (i.e. Palm, Windows CE, and WAP) to conserve bandwidth and
maintain the security of transferred data.
