It says that it initially will roll out service in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kawasaki. The roll-out in those areas will start in May 2001 and will take about a year.

So does the roll-out date in May signify the first base station installation, amid much trumpet playing and confetti tossing or do they sign up the first customers for the service on that date? After the "about a year", what does the system look like? At that point are all of Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kawasaki to be blanket covered in anytime, anywhere, 384 Kbps wireless data coverage? Inquiring minds want to know...
